Who is a photographer?

I would like to start this post posing a question:

 A very broad question I know…  Now many people would answer that question believing a photographer is someone who does it for a living, as a career. But I disagree! Photography is an art, it is also a creative means to express yourself. Photography is so much more than the final product, so much more than how many likes your instagram post gets, so much more than earning money. Photography is my get away, it is my escape from everything and chance to create something new. Whether it be a landscape, a building or my favourite street photography; taking the photos should mean something to you. What I’m try to get to is that more people should get out there and take pictures. You don’t need fancy cameras and hitech gear. Hell, you could even just use your phone. Don’t worry about if your instagram followers will like it....
